The Bay Area Climate Adaptation Network (BayCAN) is thrilled to share the release of final reports for our community partners Sustainable Solano and Ninth Root for the project "Community Driven Planning to Advance Nature-Based Solutions" in partnership with the San Francisco Estuary Institute and Coastal Quest!
These reports highlight our collective efforts in driving forward climate resilience and nature-based solutions in Suisun City and East Oakland by empowering community-based organizations (CBOs) and fostering collaborative partnerships with local jurisdictions.
Key highlights from the report include lessons learned on:
CBO Partnerships with local jurisdictions and governmental organizations and agencies
Community Engagement methods to grow understanding and interest, and to uplift community voices in the development of nature-based solutions
Technical Assistance types and methods to strengthen CBO capacity to develop and implement climate resilience projects in their communities.
